Island Resort, Abu Dhabi

Design to schematic stage of a man-made island project located off the coast of Abu Dhabi for the development of a tropical island style hotel resort.

We developed the design strategy for the design of the various parts of the hotel in a manner that considered the constraints associated with developing a project 5 km offshore.

We considered constructability issues at the early stages of the design which included the minimising of wet trades and explored the option of building the bungalows units as pods and having these delivered to the project site by barge.
