Winter Retreat - Ifrane Morocco

A winter retreat based on the concept of alpine chalets set within a dense forest where the relief in the land offered the opportunity to create an artificial lake fed from water drawn from 100m deep wells on the site.

This development with a BUA of 15,000 sqm is set at an altitude of 1700 m and consists of several residential and entertainment clusters providing luxurious wellbeing and leisure facilities within an immersive natural
backdrop.

We expressed the alpine styling cues through a number of exposed timber structures such as the
prominent A-Frame forming the entrance and roof of the Main Villa and developed a multitude of complex foundation solutions on a rocky terrain which required extensive programme of soil investigations.
